In November of last year, Toronto indie-rockers Casper Skulls unleashed their exceptional Knows No Kindness record on the masses. Fast forward a year, and the band has returned with a new b-side from the album called Yards.
Speaking on the new song, vocalist/guitarist Melanie St-Pierre had this to say: “Yards is a song I wrote about my childhood house burning down on my sister’s 7th birthday when I was 5 years old. Weird story short, our BBQ propane tank exploded and was one of the most terrifying things. My sister was drawing at the table next to the glass patio doors and was blown off her chair. When she came to, she immediately ran and got the dog out of the house and ran next door to call 911, as my parents were trying to hop our backyard fence. She ended up going to Nashville to be awarded at a ceremony for her bravery.”
Watch the visualizer (by Shawn Kosmerly) for Yards in the embed below, and keep it locked to their socials. Hopefully, for us, more music is on the way this year.
