💿 Rare Drugs – “Interiors II”

The Rare Drugs collective are back with a brand new quarantine compilation just in time for your post-Valentine’s weekend. The record is called Interiors II, and it follows the exceptional Interiors I that was released last May. Just like its predecessor, this collection of songs does not disappoint.

What we love about these folks: they’re always doing something pretty damn cool and supporting the community in the process. All proceeds from this one are going to the Second Harvest Food Rescue. Check out the soundtrack to your week in the embed below, and be sure to hit up their socials for more.

Mothland is an artist management company and record label (among other things) out of Montreal, Quebec. We recently came across their new Sounds From The Mothland compilation, and we can’t get enough here at The iM. The album contains artists from Canada, the US, France, Belgium and Israel. Now, it’s time for you to check out it.

Listen in the embed below and be sure to hit up our favourite album cuts, Money Tree by Birds Of Paradise, Marche Pt. 3 (Feat. Jasmine Trails) by Yoo Doo Right, and Near Life Experience from Montreal indie-rock veterans The High Dials. You’ll be glad you did.

💿 Glue Gun Records – ‘Stick It To ‘Em Vol. 2’

A ton of great music has emerged from the Brampton music scene over the years … Moneen, Alexis On Fire and The Junction all come to mind. Back in April of 2018, Glue Gun Records showed up on the scene with their very first release, Little Hand by Ned Flangers. Fast forward a couple of years, and almost fifteen releases later, enter Stick It To ‘Em Vol. 2 from the rising independent record label. We’ve had this thing on heavy rotation all week long, and now, it’s your turn to take a listen.

Check out the compilation in the embed, and be sure to hit up our favourite album tracks, Busted by Sea Of Troubles, Weather from FORMING and Gnar Gnar Binks, courtesy of Romshii … you can even grab your very own scratch-and-sniff cassette if that’s your thing. And, while we have your attention, make sure you hit up their socials below to stay tuned going forward.
