We first told you about Quarter-Life Crisis (aka Ryan Hemsworth) back in early October when we came across the exceptional single for Postcard from Spain. Well, Ryan is back with another single from the upcoming record, You & Me featuring Claud. The new EP also features contributions from Frances Quinlan of Hop Along, Meg Duffy of Hand Habits, Charlie Martin of Hovvdy and Yohuna.
Claud had this to say about the track: “Ryan sent me a bunch of really pretty guitar tracks around the time I had just moved to New York… it was a new city, I was alone, and I was definitely deep in my feels. The song sorta turned into a yearning winter love song. When I sent it back to him after I wrote it I asked him not to laugh at me for the corny-ness of the lyrics… sometimes lyrics just need to say it like it is.“

If you’re not familiar with NYC’s Wild Pink, you really should be. Recently, John Ross and company signed to Royal Mountain Records and are set to drop their new album early next year. Last month, they unleashed an incredible song on the masses, The Shining But Tropical, and now we have a new single for your listening pleasure, You Can Have It Back, featuring Julia Steiner of Ratboys.
“This was the last song I wrote for the album, and it’s also one of the most fun to play live. Wild Pink songs typically don’t follow conventional song structures but with this one I did. Julia’s vocals totally make this song what it is, and I love Dan’s harmonies in the choruses – I wrote it with the intention of having someone else sing it, but ended up just singing it myself.”
Check it out in the embed below, and be sure to hit up their socials for more leading up to the release. The new record, A Billion Little Lights, drops February 19th.
