Back in early August, Toronto-based indie-pop artist Castle Frank released the infectious Shallows single on the masses. Now he’s back with a new song called Just Kids featuring production duties by Nixon Boyd (Hollerado, Dizzy) and mixing by Matt Lederman (Rural Alberta Advantage, Brave Shores).
“During my first winter in this city, I was living inside the back closet of the guitar shop I worked in and began writing about my experiences. I co-wrote Just Kids with Boyd, and the vocals were recorded in the basement of that store. I had been thinking about online dating apps and realized that you don’t need to fill a void in yourself by finding validation from others.”
