We recently came across the sounds of Montreal singer-songwriter Mitch Davis. His latest single Hope That has been on heavy rotation here at The iM and shows no sign of slowing down.
The song will be included on the multi-instrumentalist’s upcoming debut album which was recorded in his home studio during the pandemic. Davis wrote all the songs and played all the instruments on the record.
“I don’t know how apparent it is in the end, but Hope That definitely comes from my deep love of crooners like Chet Baker. It was also one of the first ‘singing’ songs I ever wrote, but I’m glad I let it stew and evolve for a few years before recording.”
