If you’re not familiar with Toronto singer-songwriter and musician Jason Bhattacharya, you should be. In late January, we told you about his stellar song Ode 2 A King … now Granny Smith is back with another single. We want to share it with you.
Bhattacharya explains the making of the new track: “Salva is a free-form instrumental based on a drum loop created by Nathan Vanderwielen (Bart). I overdubbed drums, piano, acoustic & electric guitars, bass, sitar & autoharp using a AW4416 Yamaha Recording Console. Accompanying the single is an animated video by Carson Teal as well as Album Artwork by Maria Simmons. The Album Cover is microscope footage of starfish embryos taken at 40x magnification.”
