Last month we told you about Toronto ambient-pop outfit Ingredient and the first offering Photo from their upcoming debut album. The duo consisting of Ian Daniel Kehoe and Luka Kuplowsky is back with a second single this week called Variation, and just like its predecessor, we can’t take it off repeat.
The song, which arrives with a video directed by Kuplowsky and edited by Colin Medley, features Toronto multi-instrumentalist, idolized songwriter, and sought-after collaborator, Thom Gill on vocals.
The new record was assembled by Kuplowsky and Kehoe over the course of six months in a home studio they frequented daily. Amidst synthesizers and drum machines they composed, re-composed, and workshopped a wide array of music, ultimately focusing on a set of eight songs that lived in a shared musical and philosophical world.
Watch the video for Variation in the embed below, and keep it locked to their socials going forward. The new self-titled album drops on November 25th on Telephone Explosion Records.
