Calgary post-punk outfit Preoccupations are back this week with a new single called Ricochet. The track arrives with an upcoming album announcement; their first record since 2018’s New Material. After just one listen, we’re hooked.
Lead vocalist Matthew Flegel had this to say about the new album: “The lyrics are pretty conspicuous and self-explanatory on this one, but it’s basically about the world blowing up and no one giving a shit.”
Listen to Ricochet in the embed below, and be sure to keep it locked to their socials for more. Arrangements is out on September 9th via Flemish Eye Records followed by a Toronto date at Lee’s Palace on November 24th.
