It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Toronto’s Rogue Tenant, but the singer-songwriter is back with new music. Gone is a tribute to bandmate Brian Lahaie, who passed away unexpectedly in 2019. The track will be included on his upcoming effort, Always Another Day.

“Gone” is a tune that originally appeared in a rougher version on the quarantine comp Friend Ship from Home Vol. 1 last year. It’s a sort of re-telling of the emotional overhaul that comes with the loss of a close friend. Tonally, it’s indicative of the chill, weedy and cooped up DIY vibe of the whole record, so take a listen.”
