๐ŸŽฅ Pantayo – ‘V V V (They Lie)’

Back in early May we told you about the latest record from Toronto Kulintang inspired pop outfit Pantayo. Well, we’ve got some good news; the ladies are back with a brand new video and we can’t wait to share it with you.

“V V V (They Lie) comes from a place of growth, pride, and defiance. In this karaoke music video, we imagine an uplifting New Earth where there is abundance and liberation. A hopeful world created as a result of dismantling white supremacy, fighting the lies of colonialism, and ending fascism and the oppression of marginalized peoples. A world that symbolizes positive change and is possible with our collective willingness to evolve, grow, and do better.”

เธฟโ‚ณโ‚ฎโฑง โ‚ดโ‚ณโฑ โ‚ฎโ‚ด โ‚ตร˜โ‚ฅโ‚ฑล‚โฑ โ‚ณโ‚ฎล‚ร˜โ‚ฆ, ๐•“๐• ๐•˜ ๐•“๐•ฃ๐•ฆ๐•Ÿ๐•”๐•™ features a collective of artists (including Toronto favourites Bile Sister, Phรจdre and Doomsquad) who have come together to raise awareness for LGBTQ+ and medically vulnerable individuals at Rikers and ICE detention.

“Proceeds go directly towards paying bail to get trans people out of prison. This is especially important right now with the influx of arrests at BLM protests and COVID hitting prisons really hard.”

The compilation is an incredibly eclectic mix of songs that we can’t seem to get enough of; in fact, it’s been on repeat all morning here at The iM. Hit up the link below to grab the album and help donate to a very worthy cause or head over to the Emergency Release Fund for more info.

๐Ÿ“€ Plays Of The Month: June

It’s been a pretty amazing month for music here at The iM. We’ve discovered some incredibly talented new artists like Capitol, Jaguar Sun and Los Retros. We’ve also connected with some long-time favourites like Sleepless Nights, Mother Tongues and Marlon Chaplin.

Below you’ll find a bunch of our most listened to songs in June… here’s hoping the second half of 2020 is as good as the first. Music wise that is!

๐ŸŽง Marlon Chaplin – ‘Alternate End’

Just last week we told you about a new track from Marlon Chaplin called Are You Ok?. Well, he’s back at it with another song and it might very well be as good as the previous one. It’s a dreamy synth-driven number you won’t soon forget.

Check out Alternate End in embed and be sure to hit up his socials for more going forward. Looks like Mr. Chaplin is heading in a different direction with these last two singles and we have no problem with it at all.
