Back in mid-April, we told you about the new record, The Long Hard Road, from Edmonton singer/songwriter Eamon McGrath. Just today, we came across a new song (and video) for Sparkle And Bleed, featuring the one and only Julie Doiron and we couldn’t wait to share it with you.

We first came across Edmonton’s Michael Betmanis way back in 2009. Since then, he’s gone through a few name changes; Twin Library, Public Library and now, No Museums. It doesn’t really matter what he calls himself though because we’ve always been fans of his work.
Just recently, he released the album Youth Club Is Over, and we can’t get enough here at The iM. Check it out in the embed below, and be sure to hit up his socials for more going forward.
If you’re not familiar with Edmonton singer/songwriter Aladean Kheroufi, you really should be. Just recently, he released a new EP and the song Good has been on heavy rotation here at The iM. It’s a real soulful, easygoing number that we can’t seem to get enough of.

Edmonton by way of Algeria multi-instrumentalist and producer Aladean Kheroufi has released a brand new video today for the song Take A Step. We can’t seem to get enough here at The iM and now it’s time for you to see (and hear) what we’re talking about. The track will be included on the upcoming Beauty Beyond Grief EP due for release on August 7th.
“The new EP is a collection of reworkings of classic soul tracks that provided Dean with a sense of belonging and solace throughout the pandemic. ‘Take A Step’, the EP’s first cut is initially by Lou Burgio (made popular by Arthur Conley) and arrives as the first product of a tumultuous few months – notably the pandemic, of course, and the end of a longterm relationship for Aladean (having to find your own place in the middle of COVID certainly isn’t easy).”

Five Day Morning is the work of Edmonton noise-pop artist Corbin Cammidge. While perusing the internet for new sounds we came across his debut effort, Sky Hold Me Tight. One song in particular really caught our attention… Horizon.
Take a listen to the track in embed below and hit up his socials for more going forward. And, while we have your attention, he also happens to run a pretty sick music blog called Honey On The Knife… you should definitely check it out.
